Delegate Fee:
The delegate fee is $250.
Important Dates:
November 16, 2009 – Registration opens
November 30, 2009 – Registration closes
December 7, 2009 – Additional team registration closes
December 8, 2009 – Head delegates will receive delegate fee invoice
December 23, 2009 – Engineering Communications and Innovative Design abstracts are due (please email to competitions@wec2010.ca)
January 8, 2010 – Delegate fees are due
January 13, 2010 – Senior Design and Consulting Engineering topics will be released
January 20, 2010 – WEC 2010 begins

WestJet is offering WEC 2010 delegates 10% off of their travel costs to Winnipeg. Please view the promotional agreement for more information.
Maximum Number of Teams per University:
- Junior Team Design – 2 teams (4 delegates per team)
- Senior Team Design - 1 team (4 delegates per team)
- Consulting Engineering – 1 team (4 delegates per team)
- Innovative Design – 2 teams (1 to 4 delegates per team)
- Engineering Communications – 2 teams (1 to 2 delegates per team)
- Impromput Debate – 2 teams (2 delegates per team)
University of Yukon:
Teams from the fictional University of Yukon can compete in Junior Design, Consulting Engineering, Innovative Design, Impromptu Debate or Engineering Communications. The requirement for U of Y entrants is that no more than 50% of the delegates on a team may be from the same university. U of Y teams will be fully recognized at the Canadian Engineering Competition (CEC) if they win at WEC. Team entries for U of Y will be allocated on a first come first serve basis.
Additional Teams:
If you wish to send additional teams from your university, please send a request to registration@wec2010.ca during the registration period and you will be placed on a waiting list. Once the registration period has closed, universities will be selected at random to fill vacant positions. The head delegates from successful university will be contacted on December 1, 2009.
Senior Design Information:
The Senior Design competition will use VEX Robotics and Robot Easy C as the programming language. Practice VEX kits will be sent to schools that request them and should be received near the beginning of December, on the condition that they be returned at the start of the competition. Please send requests for VEX kits to competitions@wec2010.ca.
